لما نتكلم عن سيناريو افتراضي أو أقل احتمالاً بنستخدم الـ second conditional: If + past simple, would + verb. زي If we signed a three-year deal, would you lower the price؟ هنا بنختبر أرض التفاوض من غير التزام. وللنصيحة: If I were you, I'd... (بنستخدم were مع كل الضمائر). ومفيد: What would you say if...؟ والأهم: ما نحطش would بعد if.

لو وقّعنا عقد تلات سنين، هتخفّضوا سعر الوحدة؟

الصيانة المجانية صعبة. لو كنت مكانك، كنت أخدت الخصم وفاوضت على الصيانة لوحدها.
